What is the reason why the dial swings when measuring with a six-speed rotary viscometer

Six-speed rotational viscometer working principle Six-speed is a typical coaxial cylinder rotational viscometer that contains the test liquid in the annular space (shear gap) formed between the outer sleeve and the float. When measuring viscosity, when the outer sleeve rotates at a set speed, the fluid will produce a viscous resistance, thus measuring the viscosity of the fluid. The outer sleeve generates a torque on the float through the liquid. This torque acts on a precision spring, and its deflection can be measured, and then the measurement results are compared with the test conditions and instrument constants. This system can simulate real processes encountered in industrial processes.

From the working principle of the rotary viscometer, it can be seen that the only reason why the dial of the six-speed rotary viscometer swings is that the annular space changes, or there is a problem with the sample, so the reason why the dial swings during measurement is as follows

1. The bending of the float shaft causes the annular space formed by different inner rotating barrels to become eccentric,

2. There are too many impurities in the sample, and the sand particles are too large over 1.2mm, resulting in contact friction between the inner and outer rotating barrels. 3. The sample is not fully stirred evenly. The above is the reason why the dial of the six-speed rotary viscometer swings.
